Under the direction of Steven Watson, one of Australia's most established artists, Debonair provides innovative aerial design and creative solutions with unique shows for corporate and special events. Debonair has created events for companies such as Toyota, Yamaha, Westpac, NAB, St George, Amway, Silkari, Crown Casino and countless more. Charity events include The Arnott's Foundation, Grace Gala Children's Charity, Save Our Sons and St George Foundation.
By uniting speciality acts and aerial artists, Debonair nurtures and sculpts each show to complement the event. Combining a network of elite aerialists with quality production, results in stand-out performances, which leave a lasting impression.
We work to customise an event through concept development, theming, costume design and styling as well as custom designed music. All these production elements come together resulting in a never seen before performance.
Steven brings more than 15 years performance experience and has worked in almost all facets of production from the early stages of show creation through to opening night. With an international career spanning across dance, choreography, fashion and circus he has worked with some of the most influential stage choreographers of the time including Eartha Robinson, Karen Bruce and Meryl Tankard. He has also worked on all four seasons of Australia's 'So You Think You Can Dance', where he was also invited to guest on the UK show, assisting on three routines with the top 20 dancers.
In more recent years Steven's focus has been on aerial performance from his Sydney base. Having won the Australian Pole Dance Championships (men's division) he then went on to become a semi-finalist in Australia's Got Talent. Steven cemented his position as an aerial choreographer focusing heavily on utilizing high level skill with story telling. Steven believes that many people underestimate the importance of connecting with an audience - whether it's abstract or narrative - so for him the communication of that journey is of paramount importance.
Years of dance, adagio, choreography and production experience fuse with his need for artistry and athleticism to deliver thrilling, never-seen-before aerial sequences.
